Typhoon Day
"Here, typhoons come every year."
With the child's monologue at the beginning of the story, we follow his perspective and see that before the typhoon arrives, the weather is always unbearably hot, and people are always incredibly busy. Every household must prepare for the approaching storm, yet in the face of nature’s immense power, human efforts seem trivial. Flooded fields, toppled utility poles, blown-off fruits…
We pray in the pouring rain for the typhoon to pass quickly. But after the storm, we also discover small surprises. These everyday moments of wonder remind us to return to our regular routines, clean up the mess left behind, and rediscover the priceless value of ordinary life.
