Flying Stars

If there were no dark night

The dark night is not scary. It is part of nature and part of our lives.

When the author Xiao Wu's daughter was three years old, she was very afraid of the night. Her fear inspired Xiao Wu to create this picture book.

If there were no dark nights, no one would urge you to go to bed, and you could play with the moon you picked. But terrible things will happen. Nocturnal animals will have difficulty finding food, owls will sleep all day, and the whole world will be in chaos...

Xiao Wu, a freelance illustrator and picture book author. She received bachelor degree from the Mural Painting Department of China Academy of Art and master degree from the Visual Communication and Design Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts. At first, she created children’s stories for her two daughters, but eventually found love and passion in making picture books.
