<sup>The dark night is not scary. It is part of nature and part of our lives.




When the author Xiao Wu's daughter was three years old, she was very afraid of the night. Her fear inspired Xiao Wu to create this picture book. 

If there were no dark nights, no one would urge you to go to bed, and you could play with the moon you picked. But terrible things will happen. Nocturnal animals will have difficulty finding food, owls will sleep all day, and the whole world will be in chaos...</sup>
